Elmo Hope is listed as Elmore Sylvester.
Since the inception of this project, I have included ten Joe Morris Blues Cavalcade Atlantic Records sessions as part of the Elmo Hope discography. The Bruyninckx and Lord discographies indicate that Hope is present on these sessions and several sets of liner notes state that Hope worked with Morris's band from 1948 to 1951. On the other hand, the only personnel present on these dates who are identified in source materials from Atlantic are the vocalists (see Michel Ruppli's Atlantic Records Discography). In reevaluating this situation, I have decided that there is really little evidence Hope actually participated in these recording sessions which were more rhythm and blues than jazz. So as of August 30, 2007, I am deleting these sessions until some hard evidence is obtained that Hope was involved. The dates are as follows: June 7, 1950, November 14, 1950, November 20, 1950, January 15, 1951, February 10, 1951, April 26, 1951, October 24, 1951, November 20, 1951, October 1, 1952 and December 23, 1952.
